A bare shell in Arjan, furnished and styled entirely remotely, delivered rent ready without a single site visit.

Le brief

The client, based in France, had just taken delivery of his studio in Arjan, a fast growing Dubai submarket where new projects are handed over on a near constant basis. His goal was to get the unit furnished and listed as quickly as possible, without ever setting foot on site. The entire project, coordinating with the real estate agent for handover and key delivery ready for the market, was managed remotely from start to finish.

Notre approche

I moved away from the bright, airy neutrals that dominate most furnished rentals on the market and went deep and enveloping instead: brown velvet on the custom made sofa and cushions, set against a wall finish with a subtle texture that catches light rather than flattening it. The custom made bed anchors the room with the same intent, built to the exact envelope of the space rather than off a standard frame. A veined marble coffee table introduces something mineral and permanent against all that softness, while a floating wood console keeps the floor line visually open, a detail that matters in a studio where every visible square metre reads as extra space. The real lever, though, was the full height mirror: it doesn't just reflect the room, it doubles its perceived depth, pulls the seating area into a second visual plane, and draws daylight further in than the window alone ever could.

Le résultat

A studio that went from empty shell to fully furnished and styled within days, with a visual identity strong enough to stand out in a saturated submarket. The custom bed and sofa made full use of a tight footprint without ever feeling compromised, and the mirror trick gave the space a sense of depth that reads in photos as convincingly as it does in person. All of it delivered without the owner ever setting foot on site.
